Hedgehogs

Hedgehogs are a good friend to gardeners and because they eat slugs, should be encouraged into the garden.

There are some concerns that hedgehogs can in some way be harmed by eating slugs which have ingested metaldehyde slug pellets. Research has shown that if used in accordance with manufacturers instructions pellets should not harm healthy hedgehogs*.
